Susan's Review - October 2025

Since joining shortly after moving to Hullbridge. I had been struggling with motivation at the gym and felt a bit lost in a new area. When I saw a post on Facebook, I decided to give it a try and messaged Jen, who was incredibly informative and patiently answered all my questions. I love question, sorry Jen

My first session in November was at 6 AM, in pitch-black and freezing cold, and I was quite nervous. However, Rees was very welcoming, and everyone made me feel comfortable. I continued with the six-week program, and each session was different. I met Erin, who is lovely, and my motivation to work out quickly returned.

I've learned that it's worth trying everything, even if it's not perfect initially. With the help of Rees, Erin, and Jen, you can improve over time, and they'll always offer a gentle nudge if they feel you're not pushing yourself enough to pick up heavy weights or adjusting your form. Also offering something slightly alternative if you have injuries or struggling . I find all the members at boot camp are super friendly and help each other in the session especially when I have forgotten what we are meant to be doing after 30 seconds.

My advice to anyone joining or just starting is to remember it's your own journey. Take it at your own pace and never compare yourself to someone else's progress or workout.

I have lost 9lb since joining with the help of Erin's nutrition guidance and I have definitely become physically stronger. I leave each session absolutely ruined and looking like a hot mess, but I also leave with a positive mindset and feeling good

I have found the team is very approachable. If you have any issues or questions that you don't want to ask during a session, they're always willing to make time for you afterwards.

As for negatives, I honestly don't have anything truly negative to say. Who could possibly enjoy the "sympathy," or lack of it when we have to do lots of Belly to ground burpees.
